The maintenance of X-ray equipment is the key to ensuring its safe and stable operation, which needs to be systematically promoted from five aspects: daily inspection, regular maintenance, professional calibration, safety protection, and fault handling. The following are specific precautions:
1、 Daily check: prevent problems before they happen
    Appearance and connection inspection
Check the equipment casing, cables, and plugs for damage or looseness before starting up daily to avoid electrical leakage or signal interruption.
Confirm that there is no jamming or abnormal noise in mechanical components such as conveyor belts (such as security screening machines) and rollers to prevent operational failures.
    Electrical system testing
Use a multimeter to check if the power supply voltage is stable (with fluctuations not exceeding ± 10% of the rated value), in order to avoid damage to equipment caused by abnormal voltage.
Check if the grounding wire is secure, and the grounding resistance should meet the standard (usually ≤ 4 Ω) to prevent static electricity or leakage risks.
    Environmental adaptability inspection
Monitor the temperature and humidity of the computer room (temperature 15 ℃ -25 ℃, humidity 40% -60%) to avoid short circuits caused by equipment overheating or condensation.
Clean the dust on the surface of the equipment and ventilation openings to prevent blockages that may affect heat dissipation.
2、 Regular maintenance: Extend equipment lifespan
Lubrication and fastening of mechanical components
Regularly apply specialized lubricating oil to moving parts such as conveyor rollers and bearings to reduce wear and tear.
Check and tighten all screws and connectors to prevent loosening caused by long-term vibration.
Maintenance of X-ray tubes and detectors
The X-ray tube is the core component of X-ray equipment, and its cooling system (such as oil circulation and air cooling) needs to be regularly checked for normal operation to avoid overheating and damage.
Clean the surface of the detector to prevent dust or foreign objects from obstructing the imaging quality.
    Software system update
Regularly upgrade device control software, fix known vulnerabilities, and improve system stability.
Backup important data (such as calibration parameters, fault records) to prevent data loss.
3、 Professional calibration: ensuring accuracy and compliance
    Radiation dose calibration
Regularly monitor the X-ray output dose using a standard dosimeter to ensure consistency with the set value (error typically ≤ ± 5%).
When adjusting calibration parameters, it is necessary to record the original values and adjusted values, and establish a calibration file.
    Image quality assessment
Medical equipment needs to be evaluated for spatial resolution, contrast, and other indicators through mold testing (such as aluminum step molds) to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
Industrial equipment needs to be tested for sensitivity and artifact level to meet non-destructive testing standards.
    Safety interlock function test
Simulate fault scenarios (such as protective doors not closed, radiation timeout) to verify whether the equipment can automatically shut down and sound an alarm.
Test the effectiveness of safety devices such as emergency stop buttons and key switches.
